Welcome to the Bobcat Broadcaster, here are our morning announcements:

Just a reminder you are not to go to the high school before, during or after school to get items from the vending machines.  This includes when you are coming from AG.

Yearbooks are for SALE! Order forms are in the office for you to pick up. Cost of the year books are $13.00.   (1/18/19)



Art Club sign-ups on art door also 1st semester artist pick up any forgotten artwork by Thursday, February 14th in the Art Room.


There is still time to sign up to help at the Carnival this is a fun event on April 12th see Mrs. Grote for details.


Girls if you are interested in the Be a Friend First (BFF) club please sign up outside Mrs. Bowman's door by Thursday February 14th. If we do not get enough to sign up then we will not be able to have BFF.  You need to sign up ASAP.


Don’t forget about the free Mizzou tickets you can get just by reading. All you have to do is to read 20 minutes each day for 1 week, fill out the reading log, and mail it to Mizzou. The rest of the family can purchase tickets for just $10.00 each. The game is on March 9th at 2:30 at the Mizzou Arena.  Also just to let you know BGMS will be providing a bus to the game so those of you who complete their reading goal for the Mizzou Minute Day you may ride the bus to the game on March 9th. The bus will leave from BGMS office doors at noon on game day and return approximately 6:30 pm. Once you complete your reading goal and mail it in, stop by the library to reserve your spot on the bus. There is a sign-up sheet in the library.


February 15th & 19th – No school


February 18th – 22 - National FFA week dress up days are as follows:

Tuesday – Rough and Tough Rodeo

Wednesday – Boots and Shorts – shorts must be school appropriate

Thursday – Official Dress or Blue and Gold

Friday – Case Red vs John Deere Green


February 22nd – Fancy dance see the dress code in your planner. It is page 25 in your student handbook. If it is not appropriate for school then you cannot wear it to the dance. Reminder all fines including lunch bills and book fines must be paid, you must be a student in good standing to attend.


February 25th – March 1st Kindness Week

Monday – Greet Everyone – High Five Day

Tuesday – Use words of kindness – Give Compliment Day

Wednesday – Show Appreciate – Write Something Nice to a Teacher

Thursday – Encourage Someone – Positive Note Day

Friday – Brighten Someone’s Day – Wear Bright Colors


March 23rd – Elks of Louisiana will be hosting there annual Youth Fishing derby from 1 – 4pm, it is for kids age 4 to 13. See flyer in window for more details. Stop by office to pick up form.


Lunch Choice for Today:  Hamburger Stew with Italia Bread or Egg, Bacon and Cheese Burrito with Salad, Corn, Applesauce or Italian Chef Salad with Italian Bread or Grab and Go Option is Pizza Munchables with Salad, Crazy Corn Salad, Chilled Fruit
