Welcome to the Bobcat Broadcaster, here are our morning announcements:

 

Veterans Day sign ups in your social studies rooms. Students can sign up to bring a Veteran for the program.  Rules It must be a Veteran or a Spouse of a Veteran you are signing up. You cannot share your Veteran with a friend. If your sibling is, bring a Veteran you must also sign up. The deadline to sign up is November 6th. NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

If you are going on the 1st quarter incentive field trip forms and money are due tomorrow.

 

There will not be any afternoon speech with Mrs. Kroencke today.

 

If you are in need of a winter coat, gloves or a hat please see the office by Wednesday.

 

October 28rd – 31st – Red Ribbon Week! Respect Yourself. Be Drug Free. Celebrate Red Ribbon Week by wearing your red ribbon all week!

 

Drug fact for the day: 90% of Americans with a substance abuse problem starting smoking, drinking or using other drugs before age 18 and Drugs are chemicals and while each drug produces different physical effects, all abused substances share one thing in common, they hijack the normal function of the brain and change the way the brain responds to issues self-control, judgement, emotion, motivation memory and learning.

 

Monday – Be on a Drug Free Team and wear your favorite Team Jersey

Tuesday – Fight Against drugs and wear Camo

Wednesday – Be a good sport and say no to drugs, dress like a P.E. Teacher or Coach

Thursday – Drugs will make you batty, wear Black and Orange

Friday - Wear Red to support red ribbon week

 

October 29th – 1st quarter assemble at 2:40.

 

October 31st – 1st quarter incentive trip you will be going to Scott’s Fun Land

 

November 1st – MS Dance cost to get in is $3.00 to get in. You must be in good standing to attend and you must have your lunch balance paid and all library books up to date. Lunch balances must be paid by 12:30 on Friday November 1st.

 

November 5th – Girls basketball at home vs Mark Twain and boys are at Mark Twain start time is 5:30

 

November 6th – 12:30 release and MS Barn warming dance from 6-8 pm. It will be held in the AG department workshop you will enter through the front doors of the high school and go to Mr. Graves room.  You must be in good standing to attend, all fines will need to be paid, and library books must be up to date. Fines include book fines and all lunch bills will need to be paid.

 

November 7th – MS Picture retake and Girls basketball at home vs Van Far and boys will be at Van Far start time is 5:30

 

November 11th – Veterans Day Program and 8th grade boys and girls basketball will be at Elsberry Tournament Time to be announced

 

Lunch Menu: Chicken and Cheese Quesadilla or Italian Sub with Salad, Honey Baked Beans, Fruit, Peaches or Strawberry Chicken Salad with Italian Bread or PB&J with Salad, Baby Carrots and Chilled Fruit

Reminder: You must have money in your account to get any extras, this includes chips, slushies, extra entrée’s, milk

 

Today’s Birthdays: no birthdays but last Thursday was Riyenn Brown and Dane Dunn Friday’s birthdays were Brodie Essig and Alyssa Massman and Saturday was Hannah Post. Happy belated birthday to all.
