Welcome to the Bobcat Broadcaster, here are our morning announcements:


October is Bullying Prevention Awareness Month!

Bully fact: In grades K-12, 1 out of every 7 students has either been a victim of bullying or is a bully.


There is an informational flyer about the upcoming trip to Ireland and Scotland in the summer of 2021. There will be 2 informational meetings on October 15th and 16th at 6:00 pm in the BGHS auditorium.


There are extra Flu shot clinic forms in the office workroom if you need them.


October 8th – Volleyball @ Warren County start time is 5:00, Football @ Centralia start time is 5:30 and Cross Country at Mexico start time is 4:30 Also there will be an informational meeting during Cat time for any 7th or 8th grader who is interested in playing basketball. Girls will meet in the Gym and boys will meet in the locker room.

Report to cat time and I will dismiss you from there.


October 10th – Mix it up at Lunch Day: We are asking students to move out of their comfort zone and connect with someone new over lunch! Look for fun questions and conversation starters at you lunch table. Also Volleyball @ home against Troy start time is 5:00 and Cross Country at Orchard Farms start time is 4:00 pm.


October 11th – Cyberbulling assembly start time is 10:00 am and flu shot clinic forms are due.


October 12th – Volleyball at Warrenton Time to be announced


October 14th – Stand Up for Others week and national Block it out day – Use #Blockitoutday to block the negative messages you receive from social media and STOMP OUT BULLYING and Cross Country at Clopton start time is 4:00 pm


October 14th – 16th is Kindness Week

Monday – Begin each class with a smile

Tuesday – Compliment Everyone

Wednesday – Write a note of encouragement

Thursday – Say Please and Thank you to everyone!

Friday – High-Five Friday!


October 15th – Football at LA start time is 6:00 pm and 7th grade field trip manufacturing


October 16th – End of 1st Quarter


October 21st – Week of Inclusion – Use these hashtags on social media (#HEREFORYOU and #NOONEEATSALONE) to let everyone know they have support and a person to reach out to if they ever need to talk


October 22nd – Flu Shot Clinic from 1-3


October 23rd – Wear Orange for Unity Day! United against bullying and united for kindness!


October 23rd – 31st – Red Ribbon Week! Respect Yourself. Be Drug Free. Celebrate Red Ribbon Week by wearing your red ribbon all week!


Drug fact for the day:

Monday – Be on a Drug Free Team and wear your favorite Team Jersey

Tuesday – Fight Against drugs and wear Camo

Wednesday – Be a good sport and say no to drugs, dress like a P.E. Teacher or Coach

Thursday – Drugs will make you batty, wear Black and Orange

Friday - Wear Red to support red ribbon week


Lunch Menu: Corn Dog or Cheesy Chicken Pasta with Salad, Cheesy Cauliflower Popcorn, Fruit, Peaches, or Strawberry Chicken Salad with Italian Bread or Opaa! To go PB&J with Yogurt, salad, carrots, chilled fruit
