Each month we want to recognize a student from each grade level who exemplifies a positive characteristic that we look for in all of our students. They must also have at least 95% attendance, 0 office referrals, and 0 F's for the month. Once they have met these qualifications they are voted on by staff. April's Characteristic is Perseverance. Congratulations to our April Middle School Students of the Month!!! 6th Grade-Hunter Niffen, 7th Grade-Rylee Orf, 8th Grade-Conner Martin.

The Pike County Fair Board donated two Fair passes to be given out during MAP Testing. Students who attended every day of MAP Testing and showed great effort were randomly drawn to receive the fair passes. Thank you to the Pike County Fair Board, and congratulations to Rebekah Mills and Finn Morrison for winning the fair passes!

Due to the low numbers for middle school cross country sign-up, we will once again allow incoming 6th-grade students to participate in cross country this fall. They will need to have a physical and complete a Big Teams athlete registration. Here is more information on what to do on Big Teams. Please use the QR code to get started.

7th and 8th grade students will be touring True Manufacturing tomorrow. All students must wear long pants (preferably no rips/holes) and closed-toed shoes (boots or tennis shoes) to go on the field trip.

8th grade promotion has been scheduled for Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Gym. Students need to be here and ready to line up no later than 5:30 pm. Students will meet in the high school auditorium.
I would like to emphasize that the students DO NOT need a new suit or dress. We do request they wear nice clothing and dress shoes - no formals, tuxedos, shorts, T-shirts, jeans or tennis shoes. School Appropriate attire is required. They will be wearing black graduation gowns this year. We will have promotion practice and awards in the morning on May 15th. Awards will be at 8:30 am in the high school gym. If a student has an outstanding F in a core class from first or second semester they will not walk during promotion. We request that all accounts be paid. Students name of record will appear on the certificate of promotion.
If you have any questions please contact the middle school office. Any questions about grades should be directed to the teachers. Email address can be found on the parent portal.
