BGMS Picture Day
Middle School sports will start on Monday, Aug. 19th (first day of school). BGMS offers Cheerleading, Football, Cross Country, Volleyball, and Softball in the fall. Please remember that every student must complete the Big Teams athlete registration to be allowed to practice. Several of our middle school kids have already completed this.
The new parking at Bowling Green Middle School and the new Central Office is ready for the first day of school. We have created a map and a video to demonstrate the procedure for student drop-off and pick-up.

Incoming 6th-grade students, tomorrow, August 8th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., is the last day of Bobcat Academy. Don't miss out! Doors open at 8:30 a.m., and a brief parent meeting will start at 11:00 a.m. for interested parents. Hope to see you there!
Bowling Green Middle School Meet the Teacher Night will be on Thursday, August 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. From 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Mrs. Frederickson will hold a meeting for the 6th Grade Gifted students in the MS/HS Library. The 6th Grade Orientation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the MS Gym. Students attending will receive their schedules and locker assignments.
A meeting for 6th-grade Gifted students will be held on August 15 at 5:00 p.m. in the MS/HS Library.
Important Reminder: August 6, 7, and 8 is Bobcat Academy for incoming 6th-grade students from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the Middle School Lower Cafeteria. You should have been assigned a date by Mrs. Bowman per your request. Students can be dropped off and picked up in the high school parking lot.

Middle School sports will be starting soon!!! Every athlete must have completed the Big Teams athlete registration and uploaded a current physical before they will be able to try out. We have a great deal of student-athletes that have already completed this process. Thank you!!
6th Grade Bobcat Academy:
Incoming 6th-grade parents, Bobcat Academy is quickly approaching! Emails have been sent to those who signed up. If you did not get an email from cbowman@bgschools.k12.mo.us, please email her and let her know you would like your child to attend. Please give her time to respond, as she will not be working full-time for the next few weeks.
Bobcat Academy is August 6th-8th from 9-11 a.m., but your child only needs to attend one of those days. It is a great way for your 6th grader to get acclimated to middle school.

YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMP
The Bowling Green boys basketball team is deciding to do something a little different this year. Instead of a 3 day “camp”, we are having 4 different dates over a span of two weeks that young players can come in and learn the fundamentals of the game. The dates are Tuesday July 9th, Thursday July 11th, Tuesday July 16th, and Thursday July 18th. We will have a session from 8-9 for 3rd/4th grade students each of those days, and a 9-10 session for 5th and 6th graders.
